Environ 2013, 30 January - 1 February



Environment: From Ecosystem Functioning to Human Health

The 23rd Irish Environmental Researchers’ Colloquium, ENVIRON 2013, will be held in the Ryan Institute, National University of Ireland (NUI), Galway from Wednesday to Friday January 30th to February 1st, 2013. The theme of this year’s colloquium is “Environment: From Ecosystem Functioning to Human Health“.

The theme will challenge delegates to consider how their research can contribute to providing a healthier planet and thereby a healthier society. The conference will begin on Wednesday, 30th January 2013 with a number of workshops during the day on offer to delegates.

Workshops will be delivered on the following four themes such as; Ecosystems and Health, GIS and Promoting Innovation in Research.

On Wednesday evening a Question and Answer session and panel debate will be held in the Bailey Allen Hall in NUI Galway on the theme, “Securing Ireland’s Energy Future“.
