CIT gets SEI grant aid

top

The management of Green Campus CIT have secured funding from Sustainable Energy Ireland to optimise energy efficiency on campus.

This funding has been used to install sensors in corridors and toilet areas across the campus to optimise energy usage.

Motion sensors will ensure that unused areas will not be unnecessarily lit. Energy efficient lighting is being retrofitted on campus.  EXIT lighting will be replaced with more energy efficient LED fittings and timers will be installed on boilers. This will lead to energy and maintenance savings at CIT. Other means of energy efficiency on campus are also being investigated. Improved energy efficiency will substantially reduce the Institute’s carbon footprint.
