Food Sales At Tourism & Hospitality Go Down A Treat!

The Department of Tourism & Hospitality food sales are really going down a treat at CIT.

The student led initiative by Brigid Walsh and Tanya Pentley at Tourism & Hospitality have set up a facility to sell food made in the training kitchens to staff and students in 100% compostable packaging (including the carrier bags).


The Department has shown its complete commitement to improving the environment by receiving the Gold Level Green Hospitality Award last year at a cermony attended by Adrian Gregan, Department Head and Dr. Brendan Murphy, President CIT.


Any profits that may be made from this initiative will be used for other 'green' projects in the department. The teaching staff at Tourism & Hospitality as well as the students involved deserve great credit for all the hard work put in.
